This gorgeous elopement took place in January 2020, just before the world ended. It was my first wedding of 2020, and the last one for a while. Zach and Caitlin planned their winter elopement with simplicity and close friends in mind. We met up at Sapphire Point near Dillon, Colorado in the morning in order to do their first look out on the trail. It was a cold and snowing lightly when Zach and I headed out. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful morning for their first look, even though it was very chilly. We even got some sunshine with the snow flurries! Caitlin planned ahead for the weather with a cute fur wrap, layers under her dress and hiking boots, of course! I loved every second of their little elopement. It was so peaceful and perfect. We took our time hiking around after their first look until it was time to meet up with their friends for the ceremony. The overlook where they said their vows is to die for, and I recommend checking it out if you’re in the area. It’s a nice spot to take visitors since it’s easy to access, and the overlook is just a brief walk for those who aren’t used to hiking. After vows, we all celebrated with ice-cold Coors and more photos. I think the first year of marriage for this extremely sweet couple was memorable for many reasons! Congrats again Mr. & Mrs. Allen!
